TERREWODE works to eliminate obstetric fistula and other preventable childbirth injuries in Uganda, while advancing women’s health, rights and livelihoods.
We provide free treatment at Terrewode Women’s Community Hospital and individualized reintegration support to help women and girls earn an income, participate in community life, build their self-esteem, and contribute to the campaign against obstetric fistula. We also work with communities and health workers to prevent injuries and connect women and girls to care.
