Join Us for International Day to End Obstetric Fistula

Survivors(former fistula patients) learning about their health rights during TERREWODE’s reintegration program.
For over two decades, TERREWODE has stood with the global campaign to end obstetric fistula.
.
This year, we commemorate the International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, alongside the Ugandan Ministry of Health and other partners, under the theme: “Her Health, Her Right. Shaping a Future Without Fistula.”
In the days leading up to IDEOF, we began driving initiatives to promote women’s health rights, including survivor-led radio awareness campaigns on five radio stations, fistula screening activities, refresher training for fistula solidarity groups in leadership, financial literacy and advocacy, and capacity-building workshops for healthcare teams. Our target sub-regions include Karamoja, Bugisu, Lango, Bunyoro, and Teso. In Uganda, this years' International Day to End Obstetric Fistula will be marked on 31st May in Lira.
We invite you to continue supporting our work and to raise awareness on obstetric fistula prevention and the need for holistic and patient-centered treatment, including the reintegration of survivors, for a future without obstetric fistula.
Warm regards,
Alice Emasu Seruyange
